It is a great factor in who you marry, or don't marry. It will drive you decisions on career, the neighborhood you live in, the car you drive and the children you raise. That one greatest factor is your parents. From them you inherit your likes and dislikes, your belief system and your habits. You will long to get approval from them even if you do not like them. Everyone needs them. BAD PARENTING PRODUCES BAD COMMUNITIES. HURTING COMMUNITIES PRODUCE SUFFERING. Learning how to have good parent - child relationships can change entire communities of people. It is the most important institution God ever created.
